Hi,

just to bring attention to this little problem.

If i install an Update to the Grid Node Server, then the entered Credentials for the Service are removed and then the build and running test is not working anymore (at least for .NET Core 2 Projects).

As a Workaround i have to reenter the credentials for the NCrunch Service.

It may be an option on an update to not the remove the service before install, just simply stop the service, update the binaries, start the service.

Best Regards

Albert

Hi Albert,

Thanks for sharing this. Yes, there is a known problem here. The installer completely removes and reinstalls all components, which results in the service being reset to the LocalSystem account. We have a task in the backlog to change how this works, particularly as an increasing number of platforms don't seem to work at all under LocalSystem (i.e. .NET Core).
