ncrunch 2019 Chocolatey installer doesn't seem to detect VS 2019

Would you mind verifying that no version of NCrunch for Visual Studio 2019 is installed on the system and try again?

Nothing is showing in add/remove programs, and C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2019\Enterprise\Common7\IDE\Extensions has no files or folders containing ncrunch in it.

Did you run this via InTune? If so, would mind trying via msiexec /i C:\setup.msi /l*v C:\msilog.txt /qn. That's how I tested it, assuming that InTune used msiexec in the quiet mode.

It was via InTune. This is the log from running it on the command line (looks similar). Sorry for being a pain!

No problem!

It seems that we are finding VS2019 just fine. We also set the property that we've found it. The only reason why we might also report that we can't find it is that it somehow is already installed. I'll retry this again on a clean machine.

I retried this on a clean machine. First without VS installed, using and elevated powershell and the command msiexec.exe /i R:\Installers\bin\NCrunch_VS2019_3.27.0.2.msi /l*v c:\temp\msilog.txt /qn. This told me in the log that VS wasn't installed (not surprising)

After installing VS and running the command again the quiet installation succeeded without errors and NCrunch was working afterwards.

Would you try the following:

- Try it on another machine
- Check if NCrunch appears under: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData
- For me it was here: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-21-1207000025-119669248-1515374365-1001\Products\7A7CB1F6D083814408A5A0DEFE0509F3\InstallProperties
- If so double check that NCrunch isn't installed, if it isn't try to fix the registery issue
- Make sure you are running the msiexec command on an elevated command prompt.
