seems that I'm not able to upgrade the actual addin in VS 2017:
NCrunch version mismatch
I have tried uninstalling NCrunch and reinstalling it, but the addin is still stuck on v.3.10

Hi Peter,
This looks like a problem with Windows Installer. For some reason, it's electing not to overwrite the NCrunch install files on your machine.
It should be possible to resolve this by following the removal and reinstallation instructions at http://www.ncrunch.net/documentation/troubleshooting_installation-and-setup-problems.
