Build/Test Issues

Build failure - no space before base class

Started by johnmwright on 29,182 views

Quick update:
I haven't had any signs of these issues recently, although I haven't been running the external script to update referenced .dlls. So, it appears that the ncrunch update has resolved the other issues I was seeing.

I did notice an instance a few minutes ago where NCrunch said it was not able to build my test project due to undefined classes, which were actually defined in another project. However, within 60 seconds, the issue resolved itself and the builds completed. During this time, I made no changes to files, and aside from clicking the links in the NCrunch test output window, the only action I took was to close a single open file. So if the issues does still exist, it's at least very short lived.

Good work!
thanks

Hi John,

Thanks for sharing the news! I have a fix pending that should further strengthen the error handling around workspace creation, so if this issue still exists, it won't be around for much longer. If NCrunch is fixing the build errors without you needing to prompt it, then most likely this is just due to engine response time rather than a true functional problem. Thanks for going the extra mile on this one :)

Cheers,

Remco
For anyone interested, 1.40b has just been released with some significant improvements in workspace construction error handling. Hopefully we will now have seen the last of the above issue or any other issues similar to it.
