I installed the French language pack for Windows 7 onto my machine and changed the language via Control Panel. After logging in and out again NCrunch wouldn't initialise.
After changing the language back to English NCrunch started to work again.

Thanks for reporting this issue. There is a known issue with some of the language packs. I should have a fix for this coming out with the 1.40b release due out in just a few days.

For anyone interested, 1.40b has just been released with a fix for the above issue.
