When naming a function with a dot, the test overview window displays the test twice and reports a failure on the outer scope. An example is here:

Hi, thanks for reporting this.
NCrunch's ability to handle F# test names containing a period is a known problem. This is caused by some code in the test discovery step that is making an incorrect assumption about the structure of tests containing a period.
There's a fix for this available in a pre-release of 2.8 if you'd like to take it for a spin:
