I am trying to install NCRUNCH om my Windows 8.1 Pro machine (NCrunch_VS2013_2.15.0.9.msi downloaded 05/23/2015). The installer fails with the message:
The installer has encounterd an unexpected error installing the package. This may indicate a pronlem with this package. The error code is 2503.
After clicking ok, another message is displayed similiar to above, but with error code 2502.
There s no usefull information to assist me in troubleshooting the error How can I install the product?
NCrunch's MSIs are quite close to xcopy installs into the VS directory. An MSI internal error during such a process could suggest any of the following:
1. Conflict with aggressive antivirus software
2. Security settings that prevent something in windows installer from operating correctly
3. Corruption in windows installer or the O/S itself
