NCrunch Configuration window helptext can get focus and blinking cursor

Started by abelb on 4,807 views

(another one of those tiny issues)

If I'd compare the helptext at the bottom of the NCrunc Configuration window I'd compare it with the Properties window, for instance, where the text is a label that cannot receive focus (and has a title and a different default background color, but that's a design choice, I'd assume).

Also, when a grouping item is selected, nothing is shown in the helptext (fine, I guess) but this leaves a rather weird greyish window with nothing in it that can have focus, a blinking cursor and a copy/paste menu (greyed out, but it's there).

See how, at least with my color scheme, it looks as if it is an active window (imagine the blinking cursor):

(I came to this issue when I opened VS and found it weird that I had an edit box in my bottom-right, which is where I fixed the configuration window (I need it so often that it's constant visibility is welcome). Because of the big white rectangle it looks like an active window with focus, it has more primence that way than the output window and honestly, believe it or not, I tried to type something there before I realized what it was :D )

Thanks for sharing this one! Yes, this is intended to behave like the help text on the properties window. I hadn't considered how this should behave in the group elements. Thanks for making me aware of it :)
Thanks for our quick response :).

For comparison, I see I didn't paste in a copy of how the properties-window's helptext looks (with the same default color scheme). But as you can see here, it isn't grey, does not have a white border and doesn't have a blinking cursor. Just for completeness of the issue, I'm sure you're already aware of these ;)
