Hello!
I am getting next error:
"The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel."
during installation.

My steps (short list):
1)Install Ncrunch
2)Uninstall Ncrunch

I use Win 2008R2 + VS 2012 Ultimate + VS 2013 Ultimate.

I checked the registry keys and tried to diund folders - no remco \ ncrunch values were found.

Please, help.

Hi, thanks for sharing this issue.

The NCrunch VS package doesn't store data directly in the registry. VS will, however, create some entries when it registers the package. Probably this is being caused by corrupt files in the install path.

Where do you receive this error? Is it when you run the MSI? Or is it on launch of Visual Studio?

If you haven't already, I recommend trying the remove and reinstall fix - http://www.ncrunch.net/documentation/troubleshooting_installation-and-setup-problems.

I got this error immediately after running 'NCrunch_VS2013_2.7.0.5.msi'.
I tried reccommeded remave and reinstall fix - still ho success.
And Ncrunch msi install package of previous version still show popup with message:'A later version of NCrunch has been detected and this installer is unable to automatically remove it'
Is there any other ways to fix this issue excluding reinstall VS (or even Windows?)

Previously I had VS 2012 with Ncrunch - and then remove it - may be this information will be helpfull.

Did you have any luck with manually removing the install files from Visual Studio?

If the MSI fails, you can also try a manual installation. Sadly, even the simplest MSI isn't 100% reliable in all cases, so sometimes this is necessary. NCrunch itself is mostly just an xcopy install - the only real trick is remembering to run devenv.exe /setup so that VS can detect and load the package.

Yeaaaah! It helps!
(additionally i removed manually some registry keys, contained in .pckdef, but think it was unneccessary!)
Great thanks for you and your product!
