Daily Usage Issues

Can I change the color of the hyperlinks in the Test Output Window?

Started by WadeHatler on 11,178 views

I use the standard Visual Studio Dark theme. Everything works fine except the hyperlinks in the NCrunch Output Window are nearly invisible. Is there any configuration switch that will let me change them?

Thanks,
Wade Hatler
Hi Wade,

Which version of NCrunch are you running? v2.5 introduced a change that should have resolved this problem.
I'm currently running Alpha NCrunch_VS2013_2.8.0.4.msi, which I just installed about a half hour ago.

I was previously running NCrunch_VS2013_2.7.0.5.msi.

It's possible I overstated the case. I run 2 really good monitors and a third that's reasonable but not perfect. I can read them on the super-bright monitors, but not on the one where I want it.

You can see it at http://palabraapps.com/Share/NCrunchDark.png

Thanks, this does look normal to me.

The colour chosen for the link is a 50% tint of the foreground colour towards blue. You might be able to make it more visible by adjusting the NCrunch tool window colours setting to produce a greater contrast between the background and foreground colours. Setting the window background to a solid black (VS is actually around #303030) will probably make a big difference in the visibility of the link.
Cool. Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Probably not related, but just a heads up - ReSharper quit working entirely about an hour after I installed the Alpha. You shouldn't worry too much about it, but just to let you know.
Thanks for the heads up. I haven't noticed any issues with Resharper in the alpha build, but if you can find any more information about this that might incriminate NCrunch, definitely do let me know.
I strongly suspect it was one of the R# addins. I killed most of them so I'm back to just R# with 1 plugin and NCrunch and that seems good.

Changing background to black helped a bit, but still hard to read. Is there an XML file or registry hack I could use to change it? Yellow would be my first choice.
It's embedded in the code unfortunately. I think it can be improved from what it is at the moment. I'll see if I can do something about it in the next build.
Cool, thanks. FWIW, I did a bit of a cage match between NCrunch and ReSharper/NDepend. NCrunch is better in every way.
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback :)
