Hi, I'd like ask a question regarding upgrade policy, specifically for 12 month period window.

Let's assume current license purchased ended at end of this year - 2014/12/31. And user did not feel to upgrade into next release at the moment, so used valid latest version. After that, like date 2015/06/01, he decided to upgrade into latest version by upgrading his license.

In this case, how does 12 month period window applies? Is it valid from 2015/01/01 to 2015/12/31, or 2015/06/01-2016/06/01 date from purchased?

Hi, thanks for posting.

The 12 month window always applies from the date that the license is issued. This means that in your case, the license would be valid from 2015/06/01-2016/06/01, even if the original license had expired much earlier or later.

The online system actually won't allow you to upgrade a license unless it's near to it's expiry date. The intention of this is to save people from accidentally upgrading licenses that they don't need to.
