Hi,

I just ugraded my license and installed 2.9.0.8

the tests are running but the Ncrunch tests window, shows a red circle with (14) test failed, and the words "Loading code coverage data (37%)" and it's stuck.

I can queue and run tests from the code window, but the Ncrunch tests is just not working.

The window animates when the tests are running, ie the test failing roundel is spinning.

Resetting the machine and reloading everything, displays the window for one build only.

I've played with settings, launch parralel, launch singularly etc, changed the number of proccessors assigned, memory limits removed and added. Nothing seems to work.

Environment:

Visual Studio 2013 SP3
WIndows 7 Ent
Machine is patched with windows update.

Thanks
Davy

Hi Davy -

This is likely due to corruption of the NCrunch cache file for this solution.

Try deleting the solution_NCrunch_v2 directory. This should clear the cache and allow the system to start normally.

That didn't fix it, the testrun errors are there if I click randomly in the window, it changes the summary, it's the grey overview with the build status that is placed in front of the window that is not disappearing, I can click through the grey window to the tests I cannot see.

NCrunch Config,.

Build Directory: d:\ncrunch
Engine Mode: Run all tests automatically
Processor Split : 1 - 4 VS 4 - 8 Ncrunch

Thanks
Davy

Would you be able to submit a bug report after it gets stuck? Hopefully the log will give us some revealing information.

I filled out the bug report and got a window

NCrunch Bug Submit Error

An error occurred while submitting this bug report. Check your internet connection and try again.

OK

My internet connection is obviously working!

Try saving the report to a file, then submitting it via the contact form.

I wasn't able to submit the bug report, strange proxy settings at work.

However I have got more information, it only hangs when there are a huge amount of tests that fail, around 40 or so and then it stops, yesterday the other team finally fixed the last of their configuration errors in the unit tests and it suddenly started working again. So I changed the unity config so that it wouldn't work and NCrunch stopped working again.

So I know now why it stops working which is good enough for me. Thanks for your time.
