Downloaded NCrunch_VS2010_3.2.0.3.msi Installer for Visual Studio 2010.
Moved MSI to folder for software kits
Closed VS 2010.
Double-clicked on MSI file.
Installer: Do you want to run this file?
I clicked on Yes.
Installer displayed: License Agreement.
I clicked on I accept the terms in the license agreement checkbox.
I clicked on Install.
Installer: Please wait while the Setup Wizard install NCrunch for Visual Studio 2010.
Installer: Displayed:
"The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2103."
I paid for a license for a version several years ago and then paid for an upgrade some time ago (I don't remember exactly when). I didn't pay for the 3.0 upgrade. I figured NCrunch would notify if I needed to pay for another upgrade.
Thanks, Ed

Hi Ed,
Thanks for posting!
NCrunch doesn't perform any license checking in the installer. The intention is to make the installers as simple as they can possibly be, as under Windows Installer it seems that even the most basic of steps still finds ways to fail on some systems.
A manual installation from ZIP is an option and will probably work fine, but I'm wondering if there's any chance I can get a capture of the MSI's install log. It would be useful to know why it is failing and whether this problem could affect others.
Would you be interested in capturing a log for me? You can post it here in the forum or via the contact form. This stack overflow answer explains how to get the log from the MSI: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7126077/create-an-msi-log-file#7130758.
