Is there any timeline for .NET 4.7.1 support being added to NCrunch? I realize that it has only be released for a week but our team has been diligently keeping our .NET versions up to date.

Hi, thanks for posting.

This will be in the next release of NCrunch, expected in about 2-4 weeks.

Is there anything in the new version of .NET that you specifically require?

The specific feature we were targeting in 4.7.1 was the improved Net Standard 2.0 support, allowing a large number of binding redirects to be removed and trimming down the size of our build output.

Thanks, I'll let you know as soon as I have a build available with 4.7.1 support.

Hi, we're also waiting for this. Tried downloading 3.12.0.4 but no support yet.

We need it so we can share code between .net framework and .net core 2.0.

Will you reply here when it's up? I have this thread watched as I'm also waiting for this. :)

My NCrunch doesn't load at all after installing this, I get an error on startup. I uninstalled this version and reinstalled the latest from your website. I'm still getting an error on load, and this is what I see in the logs:

Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Community\Common7\IDE\Extensions\Remco Software\NCrunch for Visual Studio 2017\nCrunch.VSIntegration2017.dll' or one of its dependencies.

If I go to the 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Community\Common7\IDE\Extensions\Remco Software\NCrunch for Visual Studio 2017' folder, it's completely empty. I tried reinstalling a couple more times, and still no files there and still getting a startup error.

I repaired Visual Studio (2017 community), and the NCrunch error went away, however... I still have no NCrunch at all. :( I repaired it after repairing visual studio, and then uninstalled and reinstalled it as well (with the original NCrunch_VS2017_3.11.0.9.msi). Neither works, I have no NCrunch now. It's not listed in my visual studio extensions any longer, no matter how much I reinstall.

This would be an install state issue. Try the following:

- Close all IDE windows
- Ensure all installed files under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Community\Common7\IDE\Extensions\Remco Software" are completely removed.
- Run "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Community\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe /setup" as an Administrator. Wait for this to finish.
- Run the MSI installer (http://downloads.ncrunch.net/NCrunch_VS2017_3.12.0.13.msi)

Hopefully that should do it. If not, do the first 3 steps again, then try installing the product manually using http://downloads.ncrunch...ch_VS2017_3.12.0.13.zip and the instructions at http://www.ncrunch.net/documentation/manual-installation-instructions. Make sure you follow every step here, especially the unblocking of files .. for some reason people often seem to miss this step (I blame Windows).

That did the trick for me, thank you so much!!! I'm lost without my NCrunch. :-D Seems to be working great with 4.7.1 for me too!
