After installing version 3.13, I can no longer start VS 2017 without seeing the error below. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help. Uninstalling and reinstalling the older version didn't help.

Microsoft Visual Studio

The 'nCrunch.VSIntegration2010.CrunchPackage, nCrunch.VSIntegration2017, Version=3.12.0.15, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=01d101bf6f3e0aea' package did not load correctly.

The problem may have been caused by a configuration change or by the installation of another extension. You can get more information by examining the file 'C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\15.0_463b8b10\ActivityLog.xml'.

Restarting Visual Studio could help resolve this issue.

I found the problem - If you have the latest VS 2017 Preview installed, NCrunch installer will install it there.

The extension file is installed to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\Preview\Enterprise\Common7\IDE\Extensions\Remco Software\NCrunch for Visual Studio 2017

The good news is that NCrunch now runs in VS2017 preview. The bad news is that the error won't go away when I start VS2017 release.

Hi thanks for posting!

I was just typing a reply and that was crossed with your new post :)

Glad to hear that it works under the preview at least. Sometimes there are issues with side-by-side installations. Would you mind trying to install the product manually as mentioned here?

Yes! Sorry, this is a known issue at the moment. Right now our MSIs can only target one installed version of VS, which it seems to select more or less at random. If you have multiple VS instances installed (i.e. a preview version), you'll need to install it manually. We did a bit of QA on the new preview builds and as far as we know, everything is working fine.
