Hi,

I updated Windows overnight and now when I load the solution I was working on yesterday, I can't see anything in the NCrunch Tests window - it either shows blank or shows whatever was in the previous tab I was looking at. The little NCrunch widget at the bottom right still runs and my tests are still running and will debug, I just can't see the list or the NCrunch Metrics window.

I tried using the submit bug report option BTW, in case that gives you any more info.

Seems to be the same across all projects where I have NCrunch enabled.

Hi, thanks for sharing this problem.

Going by the bug report you've submitted, it looks like the version of NCrunch you're running is very old. The VS2019 support in v3.25 was experimental only, with one of the main problems being that it didn't support the DPI scaling options that were recently introduced in VS2019/Windows. Turning off the 'Optimize rendering for screens with different pixel densities' setting under VS Tools->Options->Environment might resolve this problem, but you really need to upgrade your NCrunch. It makes me sad to say this but having a 6 month old version of NCrunch under VS2019 is going to give you a great many problems. The pace of platform churn these days is just too fast.

Thanks! Your temporary solution worked, so I've been able to get on with things, but, slightly weirdly, NCrunch is not showing up as having any updates available in VS - when I look at my installed extensions, it says "This type of extension cannot update automatically. Updates will appear on the Updates tab." and when I look on the updates tab it says all my extensions are up to date. Would you recommend uninstalling and reinstalling?

Hi,

There should be no need to uninstall first. You can download the latest version from the website: https://ncrunch.net/download.

Hi,

I had the same problem with version 3.26, after the latest Windows update. NCrunch tabs wouldn't render at all. Thankfully Remco's workaround fixed it.
