Rider 2025.3.1 and ncrunch 5.20.0.2 endless loading projects

This is what i found but i don't think it's specific to the above versions.

When you keep getting loading projects in rider when you enable ncrunch then look if you have .net core 8.0 installed.

I only had .net core 10 installed and that gives an error but not that you can see. Because it was a brandnew nstallation. Had me stumped for a few days.

There is however an error in the event viewer.

Thanks for flagging this. .NET 8.0 is a required dependency of NCrunch under Rider. It's supposed to blow up in a visible way when not installed .. rather than loop itself into doom. I'll see if I can improve this.

I installed it via the plugins in rider from the marketplace if that helps.

This is good to know, but the engine will likely fail here regardless of how it's installed. There should be a big bad error here that is impossible to ignore and tells you that it's needed. I offer my apologies for the trouble this has caused you. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
