Hi!

Noticed upgrading from VS2011 Beta to VS 2012RC worked nicly, but installing on a clean VS 2012RC is not supported.

Hopefully you'll have the time to create an update to the installer?

Thanks for a great product!

Hi, thanks for posting!

As the RC has only just been released, I haven't yet had a chance to perform any testing against it. I've been told that NCrunch does work, although some features have issues (such as the corner spinner). The 1.40b release will be brought forward to introduce support for the RC.

Cheers,

Remco

Larsi: i've installed ncrunch from http://files.ncrunch.net...nch_VS2011_1.39.15b.msi on a machine that did not had a VS11 beta installed earlier. (I do have vs2010 installed). What are the symptoms? Maybe we can somehow power through so you can live untill 1.40b release :)

Hi, and thanks for trying to help me out!

The following error appears (in a popup) after hitting "next" the last time in the installer:

- "This NCrunch installer requires Microsoft Visual Studio 11 to be installed"

Thanks for looking into this

Larsi

I did a normal install of the 2012RC version (without installing previous ver) and my visual studio is in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0 do you have the new ver installed into the same folder?

Hi Larsi -

Something you can try which may allow you to work around this is to do a manual install of NCrunch for Visual Studio 2010, but instead placing the files inside your VS11 directory.

The download page contains a link that allows you to download the NCrunch 2010 install files as a zip - and if you follow the instructions shown (but using the VS11 dir instead), these files should in all theory still work for VS11. Note that you will need to run VS11's 'devenv.exe /setup' on the command line to ensure it loads the NCrunch package after you've extract it to the right place.

NCrunch 2010 and NCrunch 2011 are actually the same set of install files, though they use a different MSI to cater for different install paths.

This also worked for me although I was initially tricked by 'Program Files' being specified in the instructions, instead of 'Program Files (x86)'. There's a visual studio 11 directory in both.

Thanks for the heads up - I'll adjust the instructions to include the (x86)
