Hi

Would be nice if there were two different engin modes. one for running alle the time (like the current) and one for when Building (or saving).
This way you could have a limited set of tests running but still have all tests run once in a while.

Run tests when save or build would be great.

Run tests on type is not a big problem for my desktop PC, I put NCrunsh's workspace data on a 4GB RAMDisk.

But next month I plan to get a Microsoft Surface Pro. Run tests on type would be a problem because Surface Pro has only 4 GB ram, not space for RAMDisk, I have to put NCrunch's workspace data on SSD. I'm quite worrying about lifetime of SSD (NCrunch writes 1.2GB of data on disk each time I open my main solution (37 projects, lots of references)).

Hi,

This has been a very heavily requested feature since NCrunch was first introduced. The introduction of the engine modes was in many ways setting the scene for features such as this. I've been looking at ways in which it can be implemented in a clean and consistent way. The current target is to have this included in the V2 release.

Yang, I also share your concerns about the lifetime of SSDs under NCrunch. There is a feature I'm working on that I hope will be able to significantly reduce (or even solve) this problem :)

Cheers,

Remco
