NCrunch: v1.43

Not sure if any one else is having this issue.. I have the 'NCrunch tests' window docked in my main window. If I expand some test projects (say 3 levels deep) and double click the test to take me to it when I click back to the 'NCrunch tests' window it has completely forgotten where I was (ie which projects/tests i had expanded).

This doesn't happen when it is a floating window, although if you minimise Visual Studio and restore then it exhibits the same behaviour.

This is not a major bug but is quite annoying as in a project with a lot of tests I have to drill back down to where I was again and again :)

Hi, thanks for sharing this issue. I'm wondering if you could explain in a little more detail how the window itself forgets its position. Is it that when you click on the window, it scrolls back to the top?

Also, I just want to make certain you're referring to the tree itself and not to the text shown in the output pane (as this text did have a history of similar problems which have since been fixed).

Cheers,

Hi Remco,

Took some screenshots that better explain ..

So if I am looking at some tests and I have expanded the tree in a certain place ..

Expanded tree

.. if i double-click on a test and browse to it, if i then click back to the 'NCrunch Tests' window, it has forgotten my selected position and expanded the first tree node instead ..

Forgotten tree

.. hope this better highlights the issue :)

Thanks for the screenshots, this is a huge help in understanding what is happening here :)

It looks to me as though this problem is data related. I can't reproduce it myself, so I'm wondering if there may be a way to get hold of this data ...

Looking at the project names you've shown above, is this by chance an open source solution? It would be very useful if I'm able to test against it.

Fantastic, thanks so much! I'll take a look and will see what I can do.
