Anyone been able to get these to play together. In the documentation it talks about ncrunch has a dependency to gallio for xunit test; however gallio appears to be stalled at 2010 support.

Hi, thanks for posting!

As far as I'm aware - this should be working normally. Can you describe the symptoms you're experiencing? Also, can you submit a bug report?

Cheers,

Remco

Description

I have visual studio 2012 installed, ncrunch works perfect with MSTest. I created a new project, installed the nuget installation of xunit. ncrunch does not appear to recognize xunit as a testing framework, there is not autorun. if I open up the ncrunch test window, it says zero test. I saw in the documentation somewhere that ncrunch used something from the gallio project, so not know if it was necessary I installed gallio 3.4 and added it to the xunit project.

Let me know if you would like me to create a sample solution and send it to you.

Chad

Hi Chad -

Thanks, I just saw the report come through!

According to the log, it looks like NCrunch hasn't been enabled. Is there an 'Enable' option available to you under the 'NCrunch' menu?

Sorry about that I submitted the bug report when I was not in a project, resubmitted it. yes nCrunch is enabled. In order to verify nCrunch is working I created a unit testing class that is using MSTest. Here is the sample project I created https://github.com/chadit/TestingDemo

Hi,

Thanks for the report and the sample solution. The sample solution was particularly helpful in analysing this issue.

It looks as though you're making use of an early alpha of v2 of xUnit. Have you tried using NCrunch with a non-alpha version of xUnit? (i.e. 1.9).

The behaviour of NCrunch with xUnit 2.0 is completely untested, as this version of xUnit won't be supported by NCrunch until shortly after it is fully released.
