For every solution I open (VS2010) NCrunch creates 2 *.ncrunchsolution.* files. Can you please change the behaviour so that these do not get created when NCrunch is not enabled for the solution.

You could check if these files exist, and if they do not, do not enable NCrunch.

I do not mind the files being there if ncrunch was enabled one (upon a time).

Hi,

In theory, these files don't need to exist until NCrunch is enabled for the solution that's been opened. Thanks for reporting this .. I'll see if I can get it fixed.

Cheers,

Remco

I can confirm that,

I downloaded and installed NCrunch yesterday and enabled it for a solution where I want to use it.

Today I noticed that the .ncrunchsolution and .ncrunchsolution.user files are created for two other solutions that I opened but never enabled NCrunch.
This is reproduceable for every solution I open.

And I noticed that the "NCrunch Tests" window is docked where I docked it in the first solution but according to the docs this should be stored in the .user file: http://www.ncrunch.net/d...unch-with-source-control

Hi -

Thanks for further confirming this issue - it's on the backlog to be resolved in a future maintenance release.

The .user file contains certain preferences such as the alignment of the splitter in the Tests Window, click state of the toolbar buttons, etc. The actual docking of the windows is controlled and stored by Visual Studio separately. This means that the NCrunch documentation is actually quite misleading in this sense - I'll see that it gets reworded.

Cheers,

Remco
