1.42 Installs but no menu in VS 2010
Hi Toby - This sounds like the 1.42 installer is failing. Usually this problem can be solved with the following steps: 1. Ensure all instances of Visual Studio are closed (use task manager, look for devenv.exe and kill it if you have to) 2. Uninstall all versions of NCrunch for Visual Stud…

Cannot change forum profile
Hi Yang - Sorry about this. The new website launch included stripping down many of the features of this forum in order to simplify it for a more specific purpose (supporting a product). I've removed the blog link from your account. If you need to send me a message, the best place to do this is…

Pricing
Hi Andrew - Sorry, I can't change the beta license itself end at a different date - as this would involve a very very messy release process that would upset many people that have already purchased licenses. I'll contact you offline to find out a bit more about your situation. Thanks for getting…

Add horizontal scrollbar to "tests covering line 123" popup.
Hi - This makes sense. I'll have a look at ways to address this problem. Thanks for making me aware of it. Cheers, Remco

latest build and iis express
Hi, thanks for posting! NCrunch builds outputs are designed to be used only in carefully controlled sandbox environments intended for automated testing. The binaries are heavily processed and instrumented, making them unsuitable for execution outside of NCrunch. So I'm afraid that the short a…

Extensions for NCrunch
Yes! There are long term plans for this. I'm not yet sure which version it will be introduced (probably either V2 or V3). It was left out of V1 because of the need to ensure the architecture was stable before encouraging others to build code on it. If you can share any details about what kind …

Pin Exceptions window, show markers for TestCase
Thanks Yang - I'll have a bit of a think about ways this can be implemented, and will see what I can come up with. Cheers, Remco

Pin Exceptions window, show markers for TestCase
Hi Yang - Thanks for the suggestions! Can you share a bit more detail around why you feel pinning the stack trace window would help you? The original intention of this popup was to basically be a transient way to navigate up and down the stack. Are you using it to examine the exception trace…

Visual Studio Express
Hi, Can you share with me where you found this information? From what I understand about VS2012 Express, Microsoft have not changed their policy towards third party extensions - although the express IDE does allow certain built-in extensions to operate (such as Nuget, the VS test runner, etc). …

Share NCrunch configuration with team
Hi Aaron - Can you share any details about which shared settings you would consider to be preference-orientated but are currently stored in team files? This will help me to identify a more logical split between them. Thanks! Remco

License Window Frozen
Hi Mark - The issue with the license popup showing when the system is enabled is actually a bug, so it seems that the best way to resolve this problem is for me to fix the bug ;) My theory is that…

Hi Per - It looks like this message doesn't come through (I'm currently investigating why). I've sent an email to the address you have registered with the system in order to follow up with you. Sorry for the trouble. Cheers Remco

A small "Failed Tests" window
This is a really great suggestion, as these options are fairly useless when the tool window is too small anyway .. and it saves needing to have extra configuration options (which are more complex to both develop and understand). Thanks for the tip!

A small "Failed Tests" window
Hi Yang - Can you think of modifications that could be made to the Tests Window to allow it to fit in a smaller space? I'm of a mind to try and limit the number of tool windows, as there are already so many. Do you think that adding an option to hide the toolbar would help?

UI Improvement Suggestions for the Configuration
Hi Mark - Thanks for sharing these problems. I'm sorry that adjusting these configuration options was such a frustrating experience for you. These options were introduced late in the release in an effort to still provide some way of allowing NCrunch to more closely align with Visual Studio, alt…

Multiline expressions only have a marker on the first line, creating conspicuous blank space
Hi, thanks for sharing this issue! The reason behind this is that the resolution of NCrunch's code coverage is constrained by the debugging information emitted by the language compiler. In this particular circumstance (i.e. chained LINQ expression), the compiler isn't emitting debug information …

Using NCrunch with JustMock
Hi Bernhard, Thanks for your interest in NCrunch. I'm sorry to say that I haven't found a way to resolve the above problem from the side of NCrunch, so unless it's somehow solved in JustMock, I don't think there will be a solution to this in the immediate future. JustMock does still work with…
